🗣️ Re-Education Series Block 4:
The Fear of Asking

Story Content:

Some fear failure. Others fear finishing. But many fear something even quieter: asking for help.

For those surviving trauma and housing insecurity, requests often meet ridicule. So silence becomes survival. People stop asking, and eventually, stop believing they’re allowed to.

Shelter Outline: The Network creates safe zones where requests aren’t mocked, they’re honored. Dialogue circles, emotional literacy training, and trauma-informed facilitators rebuild trust. Participants learn to speak again, not because they must, but because now it matters.

Voice isn’t recovered through rules it’s recovered through respect.
